What is PBX and Paintball

PBX Aventura is a new activities centre for adrenaline-addicts located at the Jerez Racing Circuit in Jerez de la Frontera.

Our main product is Paintball that we complement with other activities, like the new Roller-Cross y Power-Kite and the known Karting, Driving Courses and 4x4.

We offer total packages for groups, companies and events whether in Jerez, in Cádiz, in El Puerto de Santa María, in Chiclana or in Tarifa.

PBX offers the game of Paintball to Jerez and the whole province of Cádiz.

Paintball was born in the 80’s when 12 friends were looking for a way to settle an argument they had to determine who would best survive in outdoor forest conditions. Charles Gaines found an article in an agriculture magazine about paintball markers; these markers were then used to mark cattle and trees to be cut down. This article gave him the idea. Together with Hayes Noel and Bob Gurnsey they prepared the first game of paintball on the 27th of June of 1981 in the forests of New Hampshire (USA).
From then on this game has converted to the fastest growing sport in the world. Why?

Because it combines some unique characteristics:

· It’s an outdoor sport;
· It’s a team sport;
· The level of physical exercise is mild;
· You need wit, patience and above all a strategy;
· It’s a game for all ages (from 12 to 80 years old);
· It’s a positive way to get rid of some adrenaline;
· IT’S THE ONLY GAME WHERE YOU CAN GO BACK TO YOUR CHILDHOOD;
· It’s main objective: to have a great day with your friends;

The game is usually played between 2 teams of 7 players; each player is equipped with a protection mask, a marker with CO2 propulsion that shoots paintballs which explode on impact. The paint of the paintballs is totally biodegradable, non-toxic and can be washed out with just water.
It’s a new exciting game that is very addictive. Everyone who played once will be back for more.
